The Quiet Before
We’re in the home stretch of 2025, and this week is basically the soft launch for holiday parties, fundraisers, and more. It’s the time of year when the world gets a little fuzzier and calories count a little less. Stay mellow this week while you’re still able to. Enjoy the sweet sounds curated by some locals as you ramp up for communal feasts or whatever traditions you hold for this time of year.

They, Who Sound | 7:00 PM
Lawndale Art Center | 4912 Main St
Dependable as ever, TWS is back this week at Lawndale for an evening of experimental sound. This week, you can vibe out to the duos of Christina Carter (vocals) and Ruthie Langston on cello followed by Leonid Andrulaitis on the keys with Danny Kamins on the sax. As always, the event is free to attend, but you’re more than welcome to donate to both organizations to keep it alive.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for PRH Business Residency | 11:00 AM
Project Row Houses | 2521 Holman St
Things got a little surprising last year when PRH announced the end of its cycle of businesses it was supporting, but the incubation turned business residency isn’t meant to be a permanent solution, yeah? Anyway, PRH is bringing in a new cohort of businesses to support, and this is a great chance to get to know them!
Welcome holistic self-care center Come Bee, music education studio Piano Vibes, botanical design space Thirdward Blooms, and hair studio Back to Natural into the fray.
