Grown-Up Storytime 195
Continental Club
Head to the Continental Club (3714 Main St.) for the latest presentation from the writers and readers at Grown Up Storytime with this installment hosted by lo-fi puppets + stuff. The long-running storytelling series is known for compelling tears, inciting laughter, and bringing authenticity with their readings. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the readings kicking off at 8 p.m. Advance tickets are $10 for the 21-and-up show.

Lotería Game Night
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
Head to the Kinder Building at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (5500 Main) for a Lotería Game Night, a unique edition of lotería inspired by 54 works of art found in the MFAH art collections. Guests can play for a chance to win prizes like H-E-B tote bags, tortilla-scented candles, and gift cards. The event is included with museum admission.

Exhibition and Workshop — YARD
Old Braeswood
Check out the last of three consecutive exhibitions hosted by YARD, presented in local front-yards this July. The series presents a collection of Houston-based artists displaying individual stories and messages through the use of a variety of mediums. The works of art, which stand individually, are also connected to each other by the landscaping of the yard. The final installment will be presented in the Old Braeswood neighborhood, and to receive the exact address, please message @yard.show on Instagram. This front yard exhibition will feature Bradly Brown, André Ramos-Woodard, Mitchell Reece, Rodrigo Gamarra, and Zan Zeller. A free workshop will be held from 4 and 5:30 p.m., followed by a reception from 6 to 8 p.m.
